To administer the Pre-IPT Online test, the examiner uses a test credit for each student. The test credit gives the examiner access to an electronic test booklet on his or her laptop or tablet, which shows the examiner script, the expected student responses for each question, and options for indicating whether the student’s response was correct or incorrect with respect to each question. The electronic booklet is divided into screen-size segments to make it easy to use. The completed electronic test booklet acts as the student’s test record and forms the basis for score reports that are generated automatically. All test instructions and information are provided in the electronic test booklet on the examiner’s screen. The student does not look at the computer screen; only the examiner does. The student interacts with the examiner and uses the story board and story pieces as part of the test interaction.
