Administering the Test
Before you give any IPT test for the first time, you should read the OnlineIPT Administration Manual. This manual gives specific information about administering the test. Each time you administer an Online Pre-IPT Oral Test, you will need a computer or tablet, the Story Board, Story Pieces, and Story Pieces Box.

Before the test begins, the examiner needs to place the Story Board on a low table with the individual Story Pieces arranged at the bottom of the board as shown in picture #1. (Note: The Story Piece of “Hurt Sarah” should be kept out of the child’s view until Pre-IPT English item #28; e.g., in or under the box for Story Pieces, which should be within easy reach. The same applies to the Pre-IPT Spanish story piece of “Ana 2” until it is needed in Pre-IPT Spanish item #21.)

There are several small pictures like this throughout the Pre-IPT test. The pictures show the placement of the Story Pieces on the board during the section of the test following each picture.
